Description
Last year I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to work on a dragon book for Scholastic by way of Becker&Mayer Books. I got to take a crack at designing 16 different mythical dragons from all over the world for a book called Sink Your Teeth Into Dragons.
Boy this one was fun. I was given some reference to Thai Nagas, which I had never heard of prior to this project. They have a serpent body with like 5-9 heads or something like that so I thought it would be very cool if they all sort of shared a mouth. This is an idea I definitely want to expand upon in other design, so flippin' cool. Those teeth sure were a pain to paint under that tight deadline though. You'd think I'd have learned by now but nope, ambitious design ideas to a fault.
