Seen 'em all, and waaay too many times!! -btw, how come so many has to bash down on Alien3 & Resurrection so badly...? (Sure, Alien3 turned into a über-rushed production, and leaped a bit away from the "saga"... and Resurrection took it one step too far with the "newborn" creatue... But as movies separately, they were pretty good...)
AVP & AVP-R was both OK, but could have been SO much better... if given the budget/time needed, that is.
I think they could go the same way that the new owners of the Terminator-rights are going; Do a remake of these film-series, but definitely re-think Alien 3 & 4 to tie better into the Alien Saga. The same with the AVP's - and come up with a GOOD scrip for a 3rd & final movie.
First film: best of the bunch; in part because Giger designed the creature completely, and in part because the person in the suit was about 7 feet tall. Second film: not bad, but the sheer number of xenomorphs made them seem far less dangerous, especially given how easily some of them were killed. Third film: almost as good as the first; Giger was brought back to oversee creature design, creature seemed almost as dangerous as it had in the first film, if not more so, prisoners and lack of weaponry gave an interesting twist to the situation. Fourth film: not so good; new breed of xenomorph could have had better design, newborn, though an interesting idea, was poorly executed, Ripley clone with Alien DNA and queen growing inside should not have been possible; cloning doesn't work that way AVP: let's have a public stoning. That such an awesome idea could be so badly executed is mind-boggling. AVPR: Hggggggght PTOO!!! yes, it happened. let us never speak of it again.

I didn't mind 3. It was 4 that I refuse to acknowledge, in much the same way that I insist Star Trek V never happened.
