Both, and I tend to keep it simple... -Mechanical 0.5/0.7 pen & regular A4 paper... and if a "traditional urge" strikes, coloured pencils are my 1st choice. But mostly I end up colouring stuff in my -ancient- version of Photoshop (old as hell; 5.5...)... and for digital experimentation, I use ArtRage.
My usual work is in gimp, nature photography, and prismacolors/copic markers. I have experiance with photoshop, painter, watercolors and acrylics though. I enjoy all, but usually just stick to traditional pencil work and photography though.
im such a photoshop newb, but I drawr mostly... with "led" and not gel ink... those cheap ballpoints are easy to shade with ;3 I need to get better at painting... with paint.... and MS paint... and god programs x[ I need to flash... the internet....
Im not good at inking digitally so I usually always use my copic inks, and thow it in photoshop for some flats. I usually like coloring in open canvas, but have been pushing to learn painter so ive moved in that direction a few times instead of OC.

Though I suppose I also have a sketchbook, where I use a simple graphite pencil.
