Ok, I'm one of those guys with a pony tail not because I like it, but because otherwise my hair would get in my face constantly , and that sucks. Also I depends very much on the individual , most guys who have long hair usually are metal fans and it fits.
Definitely depends on the man and the quality of their hair. Thin, straight, greasy? No way in hell. Thick, wavy, or curly? There we go. If he looks like a viking, knight or a pirate, he's doing it right. If he looks like a computer programmer or art professor, he's likely doing it wrong.
Depends.... but I normally don't care unless it's down right horrible and even so I don't judge people by hair. Though I have heard/believed that it shows personality at times.... It really just depends.
I like it, but it depends on the guy. My mother is dating this Italian/Polish guy, and he likes to where is hair in a pony-tail, and in all honesty, he looks his best when he has one. I can't imagine him without a pony-tail.

I agree with the other comments. It depends. I know someone who's OC has a ponytail and it looks quite good. Orlando Bloom pulled it off rather nicely. But I've also seen guys who's ponytail just adds to their greecy grungy off-the-street look.
However, if we are discussing a high ponytail with really long hair then in my opinion only asian men and anime characters can pull that off. Although said asian men would look weird if they were wearing jeans and a tshirt with that hair rather than gi and hakama. lol
depends on the overall package on a guy. Not every guy can pull an awesome beard/mustache/mohawk, etc. Same with ponytails. Although I do like guys who have a high cheek bone structure and nice hair line with it more so than others.
It depends on the guy. The way my boyfriend's hair is cut, a ponytail on him looks horrid, but other guys with long hair look bad without a ponytail. Some girls are like that too, so it must be a head-shape thing or something
Mr. Smith: Do you know what I hate? Baby's Mother: [in pain] No! Mr. Smith: I hate these forty-year-old jack-holes wearing ponytails. That pony tail doesn't make you look hip, young, or cool. [Smith shoots a ponytail henchmen in the head]
