im 23 and loved the original series where they were very "animal" like and more realistic. but the newer stuff is all robotic and some of them i cant even believe were even created. Isnt there one thats a trash can??? my word.
Theyve gone overboard on it (as every good franchise does). Even when i played it all the time as a kid i hated polygone cuz wtf was it lol. They have also made it way to complicated. I tried playing Ruby/Diamon etc and i lost track. I couldnt even guess what some pokemon where. At least in the old games you pretty much could guess the type eg Ponyta - Fire, Krabby - Water, anything strange looking (alakazam, jynx) = Psychic lol ahhh the simple days. However i still love playing Fire red and can man up to silver and gold. Loved Yellow. Maybe one day ill catch on to the rest haha
The fact is Pokemon would be Epic if they were real, especially if you got paid like you do in the games. (even tho im totally against any kind of animal abuse) id still be a pokemon trainer haha
oh and BTW the original series song was the best. I listened to the most recent one,,recently and it was well crap! I even love playing the original one on my ipod now and then. Especially at the gym, gets me all pumped lol
Meh. Stopped playing after Sinnoh, and stopped collecting cards after Hoenne. I still like looking at fan-made pokemon, but the real ones that come out anymore disappoint me.
Indifferent, I was a teenager when the first set of games came over to North America, and everything about Pokemon at that time had a kid's stuff label, so I never bothered to play through a game, didn't stop my friends though, I remain the only one of my friends to never complete a Pokemon game, except Pokemon Snap, which I rented one day on a dare and actually quite enjoyed, found it relaxing.
