This is my version of Doctor Frankenstein.

From a young age she showed promise, excelling in building simple contraptions at the age of 5. Her father was never impressed and never showed even a smile in her presence, having wished for a son. Her mother died during birth, for which her father blamed her. Eventually in a drunken, depressed stupor he attempted to kill her via a knife to the heart, then preceded to take his own miserable life. She was found with a knife left in her chest, miraculously still alive, by an old war veteran who took her in. Once she was able to move again, she then turned her entire life into a driven blur of study. Though only at 20 years old, she has lived long past her years as she sleeps little more than an hour or two a night. As her friend and adopted guardian begins to become weaker in age, she turns her attention to creating a figure to protect her beyond his death. She creates her creature, her abomination, her guardian.

As far as symbolism in her outfit. She keeps her chest open to remind herself that nothing is impossible, if she could survive that. She wears a sun dress under her coat to represent innocence under a shell of torment. She seldom bathes as she figures it a waist of time, so her hair has become dreads. Her coat is that of a man so it its closed on the male side.

I gotta say I am in awe of this, he/she could have made her sexy like you see in one of those holloween stores instead she/he opted for more of a steampunk true gothic laborer which is new and delightfuly refreshing. This woman is not out to make men happy she is out to make a monster! There is so many ways this could have gone wrong but didn't which is great. The attention to detail is amazing and I feel like their was some real research done to produce this. She is not sexy she's frighting which has gotten lost in modern horror.

This is very much awesome, I love her outfit and overall character design. Her glove is my favorite. She seems like a very interesting character!

I must admit, I was surprised.
Not only did you completely deviate from the "male" form of the Doctor, you deviated from my own "ideal" that I had in my head. I imagined the "good doctor" to be a respectable person who, despite his made genius, was sorely misguided in his ideals. You present here a completely different form and figure that is not at all alien. Seeing her there, makes me think that it is possible! I love the darkness to her outfit and the reason why there is a sundress underneath. The colors haven't faded, despite her outward, dirty appearance. Her "utility belt" is awesome, although despite the complexity of her gloves...I could see myself poking my eyes out, although I could see her working diligently with that hand. Overall, well done. :D

Both you and kim, i really enjoyed your fashion sense, at least back in the day. Its that sorta hipster macabre look that really inspired my few recent pieces. I really love black and white as far as clothing colors.
