I agree with the earlier post that the thumbnail for this resembled a Na'vi from Avatar, but I think would be more fitting of Avatar 2 since that one will take place underwater (they might as well call it The Abyss 2). Anyways, superb artwork since that is why I'm writing. The client certainly got their money's worth for sure. :)

Haha yeah~ I made Haiku when I was a Freshman in High school back in 2002, and he's been blue ever since. When Avatar came out, I shook my fist at James Cameron, but decided to keep Haiku blue since no other colour would make sense for him. XD

I personally would have been flattered by Cameron's choice of blue for his aliens. Haiku is a fun a concept and I'm glad you stuck to your guns and kept his image the same. :)

I'm always of the belief that if you ever have an idea about something, chances are that someone out of the 7 billion people out there already beat you to it, or will come up with it eventually.
