Spektre-2012 by arvalis Spektre-2012 by arvalis
This is an update to the oldest original character I still have in circulation, and one of my first in general dating back to 2002 in 7th grade. He even predates the Arvalis project, he was exactly what a 12 year old liked in 2002; dragon man with spiky blonde hair. Im very fond of this design, with each of these central protagonists, I try to play off a motif in their clothing, his being a bull. Arvalis has phoenix, Corrina has flowers, Scarlet has hippocampus, etc. You can refer to the Ryu-broc Species Design Sheet as to how his anatomy works.

I think this may be my favorite of your designs. There's a heavy Celtic Gladiator feel to him and the fact that he's a human/dragon hybrid is just icing on the cake. :)

Looking through the weapon choices I could see him wielding one of the straight blades over a curved one, especially with the Northern European influence.

My question is: when is a video game company going to pick you up??

Best,
Kun

Awesome work man!

How you, concept artists, come up with so many variations and elements to compose your designs? When I try to create a character it usually looks very simple. like this: timvithor.deviantart.com/art/S…

You could do some "Advanced character design" class in Skillshare. I would definetly try it.

Anyway, keep the good job.

Dig up a lot of reference material, it will keep giving you ideas even after you think you have run out.

Do you do some research before making the designs? Or do you just work by scratch?

Wow, I really like how you have drawn his "wings" The clothing reference is also really nice and interesting to look at. Say, how much time do you need for designing one type of cloth on these sheets of you? Would be interesting to know.
