One of them reminded me of Beau from a show about racing dragons. I can't remember the name of it right now.

these are wicked cool.
i find it very interesting that you place the flight muscles ahead of the arms; i've always placed them either at or behind the shoulder blade (no longer at the shoulder, not enough room for them), meaning they'd wrap around part of the ribcage.
i'm no expert on anatomy though, would you mind explaining your reasoning?

I generally find it more aesthetically pleasing to have the larger arms(wings) up higher on the body. The actual arms are less important and would be relegated to less movement to allow the wings a full range of motion. Though really when doing creatures, just make them look believable, otherwise just make them look cool :)

hmm, understandable. i see it now, and i might keep that in mind for future anatomies ;) i actually never thought about the movement of the wings much, just where muscles attached and how the body balanced

I cannot express how awesome these sketches are, and to see that you've re-done a good amount of these from 2007? You've done great! Happy New Year!

Oh, and I am in love with #16's eyes, the size of the eyes compared to the body is just how this guy's should be:

That sketch really actually helps put things in perspective for my own design. So, I thank you for that c:

Love most of these, so freaking cool.

Oh, I know! I have a creature that has crested gecko influence, and leaf-tail gecko influence(Along with the one I already showed you)

[link]
And this guy has crested gecko ornamentation and eyes as well:

Gecko eyes & features work wonderfully with fantasy creatures. c:

Doing alright, I guess. Am trying to get some work done, while figuring out the best way to transition my traditional work into digital (use scanner, camera, etc.) Camera does a nice job, but the light in my room is yellow, so of course everything else including my pictures turns yellow.

Really am just hoping to develop skills further and possibly start commissions since money is coming short.
