Critiques
Technique is truly a prize performance within this lined work of art. As prior works have shown us, much can be done within the realm of black and white. Even in the lack of shadings, it is very plain to tell the time and depths of experience were poured into this. The precision done and detail formed into every figure, post, and even creature is astoundingly accurate, and well beyond a simple improvement with prior attempts by =arvalis.
Vision is superbly done as well. The rickety atmosphere of the mobile safe haven is truly expressed with vine covered stairs, cracked shambles of concrete, and of course, the near ragged garbed knights who watch over it. Yet all the while, you can tell what each and every merchant is selling, who is ready to buy or leave, who is their to protect, and who is their waiting to be defended.
Originality is sadly, the least impressive of the categories. There is no denying the artistic level of this well done work of art, nor the time spent to create such a piece, yet this is an idea seen in many books, games, movies, and even fellow deviations. However, to be fair, it is the first to boast the idea of being mobile in its civilian defending routes. On odd concept to consider, but with this deviation as proof, it has marvelous results.
Lastly the Impact. Such an image, with the detail and craftsmanship given to the work, it would be hard set for one to avoid closer inspection of this picture. Though a full five stars is not yet rewardable. Countless works in =arvalis's gallery show flawless colorings. If a piece such as this was given the master colors to match those works of art, avoidance would be impossible.
Overall, =arvalis has created a masterpiece that truly is able to speak for itself. Let the Shanty Town ride on.
