Roc Concept by arvalis Roc Concept by arvalis
The largest wingspan of any creature in our world. This particular specimen is about 200-300 years old, as it takes an incredible length of time for one to grow this big. There are only around 5 that are this size. The largest one ever known was said to destroy cities with a single wing beat.

you do realize that two  boeing 747s side by side would still have shorter wingspan combined than this thing... right? XD

I really like that you put in detail about the size and that it isn't the normal size but you gave reason for that. The effort in this is clear, you put a lot of thought into this and i think it turned out amazing and you should be proud of it.

I don't know if you ever heard of Terry Brooks or The Shannara Series but they have very large Eagles in there also called Roc's. Superb series, check it out.

I remember this story, if I'm not mistaken Sinbad and a group of sailors came across a giant dome which turned out to be the egg.

Oh, and awesome job!!

I really enjoy creatures that look semi realistic. I wanted to be a paleontologist before i wanted to be an artist. Though all i really wanted to do was draw dinosaurs XD

Cool! Yeah, dinosaurs are really fun to draw. Because we've never encountered one, they require a touch of imagination to create.

That is a big ass bird.

I mean, I know Rocs are supposed to be huge... but that is huge on a whole different scale. Like a commercial jet with a beak. I would hate to run into that thing when it's hungry. Or any of your world concept creatures when they're hungry for that matter. How did humans ever rise to a prominent place in the food chain with creatures like that running around? Run little human stand-in run... wait, you'll never outrun that thing... dig little human stand-in, dig like your life depends on it...

they can dig, but you're forgetting about the sand shark he drew that's waiting for us underground XD
