I thought it would be cool to portray Reshiram as sort a proto-bird. Maybe as like an ancestor to Ho-oh is what I was thinking. He has been adorned with silver bangles which he was worshipped by. He is considerably less mammalian than you may be accustomed to, but I thought it would look strange if I threw a goat head on a dinosaur bird body. Alternative title for the paleo art aficionados could be Macroraptor
i'm sure you will do it ok it's not like asking you to do Arceus, becuase..well that thing most be really difficult to do in a realistic way..it's...well arceus have a weird desing but if you manage yourself to do giratina and an epic version of reshiram, i'm sure you will be able to do it but some of your desings i find them a little weird xD for example, giratina es more like a bug, dragonite is a salamander...with wing, and n idoking, well he looks like a prehistoric rat-pig...something well even knowing that..they still look awesome -w-
Beautiful, it's amazing how well it resembles the original pokemon! I will never look at Reshiram the same way again, he will always be twice as awesome. I, personally, am terrible at realistic art, so I'm not sure how you did this. Are the realistic versions the way you view the pokemon everyday, or does it take some time to come up with a design?
I really like this. In some websites, it says that Reshiram is based off the feng-huang, which is a phoenix-like bird from Chinese mythology, almost always portrayed as female. Of course, this means I automatically also think of Reshiram as female... Anyways, this is just the perfect mix of phoenix and dragon. Or feng-huang and dragon. Whichever floats your boat.
I really admire how you take some of the more unbelievable and impossible aspects of Pokemon design (and let's face it, there are many) and manage to adapt them to a more plausible frame - you've got to be really knowledgeable about animals as well as a talented artist. Kudos!
