This is the lineart to a new character i have been working on. I have decided to start designing characters around rare animals or rare color variations to animals. This guy is based off of the King Cheetah. The king cheetah is a beautiful animal, this is what they look like: [link]
His name is Keng, which is pronounced like fang but with a K. He weilds a jumbiya which is a dagger of middle eastern descent, cheetahs were once common in the middle east until hunted out of the area. I will have more info on this character once he is finished.
I have already invited several friends to create their own character inspired by a rare animal or color variation. The only rules are that they must still be human, and their weapon/weapons have to make sense with the animal in mind. I chose a dagger because of its speed and elegance like that of a cheetah. It would be awesome to see more people start up designing their rare animal characters. So feel free
Awesome! amazing design! his face looks quite elegant but you can tell he's deadly *.*
i actually kinda had an idea like this, reading 'the life of mammals' by david attenbourough Some of the mammals are so cool, so i was gonna make characters as those animals, but I may make them human now, so thanks!

Yeah i really tried to get the look of a king cheetah without relying too much on spots or like a fur pelt. It took forever to get a weapon idea though XD. I would love to see what you can come up with, link me if you do one. I might make a journal with thumbnails of everyones characters.
Yeah the pants make the character, i had a lot of fun designing them. I wanted a pretty unique design, something i hadnt really ever seen before. Also thats not a scarf, its a hood with a front cape thing, i thought it looked really unique. Youll get a better view of it in future pictures

I am Roberts creativity reaching critical mass.
Im the artist......Your eyes belong to ME!
The eye lines and spots on the shoulder do just top it off however
Ok, it'll be a while coming though
You should do a Great Panda, they're rare are they not?
But, perhaps, that is not original enough (:
In a list I found that there is only one alive Pinta Island Tortoise... that is rather sad ):
