This was part of my homework for Clothed Figure drawing 1, which i got an A- minus on. We had to design a character and such, so i did this. I was looking through my monster hunter artbooks and since the new one is coming out today i was feeling very monster hunter inspired when i did this. I had never seen a fishing pole as a weapon before, so i thought i might give it a shot. He swings his pole like a sword and the line is used as a whip weapon, hence the thick black line. All drawn in pencil, tones added in photoshop.

Photoshop CS3: 20 min

you know when i saw the fis at first i thought it was a Familure (or how ever you spell it)

would add a little magic effect to your character if you did, ahh well, its an awsome consept.
