So i finally decided to color this puppy up only a good nine months later. I tried to fix a few of the noticeable errors that time has shown. The lines are still dated for sure, but i still liked the atmosphere of the scene. I hope you guys like this one. As per usual, look out for those easter eggs, there are a good 4 of them in there~

Edit 4/20/10
After critique and paint over by my teacher, i fixed a few areas and tweaked it. Should be able to submit to the spring show now. If you are still looking for the easter eggs, they are: Cloud Strife, Dante(dmc), Link, and a sad face.

None of the easter eggs are these characters:

Daily Deviation

.:Eternal Law:. by =arvalis shows a fantasy, kinda medieval world very beautiful. The lighting applied on it is sublime, but still nothing compared to the perspective, composition, colouring and visual impact. A delicious artwork by a extremely talented deviant! It's great you finally colored this. I was looking forward to it. The only thing is, that I think you could have colored this better, This is to bland and I mis a lot op contrasts. Some characters just seem to blurry to me, when the background behind them are pretty sharp.

Also the clouds in teh far back really could have been done better than a few blobs. I think It would have taken only a few minutes more to make nice cloud like shapes op them.

Also the buildings look to flat you should have more time in giveing them details, the bricks look like fake cheap boards with a simple bricklike texture on them.

If you look at the image when in total it looks amazing, but you could really have taken more time to fix some minor things. It will make it from Great to Perfect.

I love this piece, it reminds me a lot of those grand architecture/perspective pieces by the French artist Hubert Robert. The tonal value if rather nice and so it the treatment of color saturation, only intensified where needed.
The only thing thats not quite there is the people. What you have now is good, but it feels like there could be more crowds. Once you hit that wall in the middle its a ghost town and no one else wants to be above the third floor. Nothing high in detail, it would just be nice to see silhouettes like the airships, maybe an outline in the windows of the bridge at the middle ground. With all the activity going on in the sky you'd think to see more on the ground as well. And if you feel like it perhaps take into account the bird population too, like a finch or something on the statues hands or fluttering about with so many nesting spots for them.

I have to tell you. I've been looking through your gallery and your art is incredible. Your characters are very well designed and these background pictures are just phenomenal. I would like to watch you if that's alright.
