PRINT STORE-BUY THIS THERE

Boy this one took forever to get done, it has 8 equally important Pokemon, what a hassle. It was done as a commission for a private client. You can watch almost the entire process over at My Livestream Channel. Now for the flavor text.

Eevees are one of the most unique Pokemon, possessing extreme adaptability. When left in the wild, their surroundings shape their physical form. They are capable of extreme growth in a matter of a few years with radical shifts in their anatomy. When under tutelage of a trainer, Eevee can remain unchanged if kept in a stable environment.

Vaporeon is the result of an Eevee living near a coastline. Trainers can replicate this effect by keeping mined ocean side ore, known colloquially as water stones, around the Eevee while it is trained. Vaporeon are particularly sturdy, capable of living for up to 130 years in one case.

Jolteon is one of the fastest Pokemon one can encounter. They can reach speeds of nearly 80mph(130km/h). Jolteon is excessively dangerous as it is covered in sharp quills in which it is capable of ejecting from its hindquarter at attackers. Jolteon occurs when an Eevee is repeatedly exposed to low levels of electricity, trainers can purchase an electrically charged dense piece of ore and keep in the presence of their Eevee. There have been legends however of Eevee being struck by lightning and evolving on the spot, though the scientific community completely dismisses this.

Flareon are seen as the natural progression of Eevee as they bear the most similarity to them. Flareon occur in the wild when living near volcanic soil and in some cases, hot geysers. Trainers can keep chunk of condensed volcanic ash around their Eevee to encourage Flareon development. Their dense fur acts as a dense barrier against extreme heat, contrary to the popular belief that it would overheat them. Flareon are particularly fond of ground dwelling grass Pokemon, often seen digging up Oddishes and playing with them before they eat them.

Espeon rarely if ever occur in the wild. They are the result of an Eevee being kept in a warm climate or home and being treated exceptionally well. A developing Espeon will require much sunlight as vitamin D is required to aid in the development of a larger brain pan. It can be very unsettling when a trainer's Eevee starts to rapidly lose its coat, but this is normal and should be looked at as a healthy sign of development. Espeon are the noted for their extreme intelligence and surprising speed.

Umbreon are the only member of the Eevee family that is exclusively nocturnal. They are very cautious animals and move very slowly. They are very tough and can fight consistently for hours and take little wear and tear.

Leafeon are nimble forest dwellers. They grow a high density of moss in their fur giving them the appearance of being green. It is the only herbivorous member of the Eevee family, feeding heavily on low lying plants and tree sap. Thanks in part to the sap diet, their saliva is very sticky. When they groom themselves, they often get all manner of plant life and fallen leaves stuck to them. They are also unique in that the paw of an Eevee becomes more hoof-like which lends itself the forest life they lead. They are often the only seen member of the Eevee species in temperate rain forests.

Glaceon is dumb.

Hi there!

I was just watching your speed-paint of this on Youtube. It's hard to tell what you're doing because of the speed, but it looks like you put a layer of what appears to be random colours on top of the base layer. Would you mind explaining what it is you're doing there? I'm very curious.

Because of your comment, I watched the speed-paint video too.
To answer your question simply, it looks like he/she's using the "random" colours to create a shine-effect and more texture to the base layer. This can be achieved when using the right layer mode. When you zoom fully into the picture, you can still see these colors.

OMG these are amazing!!!
Eevee is my favorite pokemon and I love all of the eeveelutions equally!
If I created this i would have given them a sleeker more feline look, but i love your concept too! Its a refreshing view on the idea of eevee.

For the most part, these look pretty good, but I can't say I'm much of a fan of Umbreon or Espeon. Umbreon, at least in my opinion, looks very lean and catlike in the games. In your art, particularly around the neck, it looks more like an alpaca. I feel it doesn't quite hold the personality that it should.
I've always thought of Espeon as the most graceful and regal of the eeveelutions, but yours looks more like a cat that just took a bath and hasn't been dried off. It looks hunched over like a vulture and the skin around the neck and face is a little too wrinkly.

The others look really nice though, particularly Vaporeon and Jolteon. I love how otter-like Vaporeon is, and I think you captured Jolteon's personality extremely well.

All this being said, your artistic ability is absolutely amazing.

Hmmm so.... Glaceon is a type of musk fox?

*Got arrested by the pun police*

BTW, I'm scared to imagine how Sylveon would turns out, cuz the only reasonable explanation to the ribbon is parasitic fungus with butterflies vector that is found in dark forest turning the poor eevee into a zombie with cataract-ish pale eyes and horrifying thingy sticking out. How I hate zombie fungus, god bless that the whole Ophiocordycipitaceae family only infects insect

Sure sounds horrifying, but I'd love to see how a realistic Sylveon would turn out nonetheless.

With Glaceon being my favorite Pokemon aswell as being a big Eeveelution fan, I'm not really a fan of this art. I don't think you included enouh of their cat features. They're suppose to be cat Pokemon (Mostly) and yet you draw them as canines...

The eevees are any one thing.  I made them a mix of cats, rabbits, deer, sea lions, sloths, and a touch of foxes.

Your work is closely accurate actually, minus the sloth(though the sloth part adds a cool touch to it) Eevee and its evolutions in the game are a mix of canine, rabbit, and feline anyway. Sorry about all of these people constantly bashing your hard work. You're an amazingly artist, man.

I was looking for a bit more information about Umbreon, like on it's bioluminescent rings, or what in it's diet\behaviors would lead to it's poisonous sweat (pokedex claims, I swear that's what it says) since both Umbreon and Espeon are primarily urban pokemon...

Could people just shut up and stop whining over the "glaceon is dumb" thing? Maybe they could just respect the fact you aren't fond of it.

I do think you could've looked into it more, but i respect you preferred not to, as you don't care for it, but going into it and finding a more realistic outlook on it probably would have prevented several butthurt people who want to start a fight and straight up insult your art(that detail directed at one deviant in particular).

Everyone just calm down and respect this hard working person.

I like Glaceon. I really, REALLY don't like Sylveon though. It's so... Useless, somehow. I feel like there's a lot better options if you're looking for a fairy type at all.

"Glaceon and Sylveon are really dumb pokemon."
... Ironically, two of my favourite Eeveelutions.  Don't hurt the poor things, I'll keep them safe from any haters! >n<

(But really, this is quite some outstanding work on all of the Pokemon designs.  They're really well shaded and detailed, and I really enjoy the slight redesigns with them to make them look all realistic, even though... admittedly, Glaceon's redesign is a bit weird, in my opinion, but I can look past that with how well you did each one.  Even so, Glaceon's redesign definitely does have an Ice-type feel to it anyways, so, like the other Eeveelutions, it does work when it comes to a more realistic approach on them all.  Quite creative, and really well-done. ^_^)

What painting style, you mean lines with painting underneath?  Also this is the definition of constructive criticism "Constructive criticism is the process of offering valid and well-reasoned opinions about the work of others, usually involving both positive and negative comments, in a friendly manner rather than an oppositional one."  No where was there valid and well reasoned opinions and was not particularly offered in a friendly manner.
