So here is my latest foray into digital painting, im starting to get the hang of it, im quite excited. This start as an idea that i doodled in class, i was thinking how long it had been since i just busted out a character concept that was totally different for me. I was definitely influenced by the works of H.R. Giger. Stretch some proportions to add to the strange factor. Also she has no eyes in her face, the blue eyes on her head and here shoulder see for her, just thought that was kinda cool. hope ya dig, im stepping farther and farther away from my comfort zone.

The contrast between light and dark is definitely an intriguing feature of this piece. This piece also has an excellent sense of depth. for just "getting the hang" of digital painting I have to say this is superb. The piece has a lot of complexity that drives you to actually look into certain sections. the darkness on some portions allow for the imagination to run wild. However the transitions between those dark sections and the lighter sections isn't as abrupt as I have seen in a lot of other pieces that I have seen attempt this feature. This is an excellent piece and definitely worth a look and fave and even a watch.

This is very good. The painting seems to to be unfinished on the legs below the knees, though. On the arms past the elbows too, but the legs seem more unfinished. Was that a stylistic choice?

I really like how it looks freaky and somehow beautiful (in its own way) at the same time. I am amazed.

I love how as she extends from the frame it goes from painterly to graphic. Really cool idea. Application of paint is beautiful too. I'm still working on that. :|

Yeah i really enjoyed this one. To be honest the flat graphic shape idea came from having very little time to finish it. I love what you can do when pushed into a deadline. Id be more than happy to show you a few pointers sometime as well.

This is gorgeous! I could see Giger's influence, definitely. I love how blackened her limbs look before they turn into the blades!

HAWT and a half. I seriously love the dark lighting on this, as well as the design of her headpiece. Though I am having a rather hard time picturing her walking...perhaps she merely floats everywhere?

I can definitely see Giger's influence in this. Surprisingly enough I think that the arms and the legs creep me out the most here...it's probably the blades. The idea for the eyes definitely intrigues me.

Really excellent piece, I love to see artists branch out in different directions.
