Here is the next in my original character roster thats been redesigned for this year in a simpler fashion. I have only ever finished a few pics of this characer, so its nice to see an update. It took a bit longer to complete as this is the kind of character i dont draw too often, petite and blonde. More coming~

Info:
Corrina is the traveling companion to Arvalis. She is smart, strong, and quirky. The brightly colored undergarment reflects that no matter how dark things get, her positivity and bright attitude will shine through. Corrina comes from the same town as Arvalis and thusly sare similar fashions.

=arvalis has done many works over his career on DA. From pictures of epic proportions, to smaller more detailed portraits, he has done works that have earned the admiration of all of DA. Corrina, the latest work in a long line of successes, does little to change his well established reign.

The Originality of Corrina is admirable by any tool of measure. There is a minor mark down due to the clear inspirational influence of Final Fantasy, as well as design, but the character as a whole is straight from the mind of =arvalis himself. Besides, this is the first time in almost any picture, movie, game, or even book most of us have ever seen a woman strong enough and comfortable enough to use a forging hammer for a weapon.

Vision, once more, is a superb example of artwork. From the complimentary background, to the smallest lines in her hair, everything, and I mean everything, seems to be right in place for a perfect portrait. The long strands upon her waist even bend at the right angles as if they are being controlled by a gentle passing breeze. Unfortunately, though it may be part of the artwork design, not as much detail is given folds in the clothing as prior works by =arvalis. There are no shading techniques within the whole work besides the hood on her shoulders, and some of the lines on the skirt seem rather... tacked on.

Technique is difficult to judge properly. Normally, all one would have to do is compare it to a prior work, and simply see how true to the artist's style it has come, stayed, or regressed. The style is similar to previous works, but at the same time, clear by the color scheme, it is obvious that a new style of artwork is being developed here. For that, the true judgement of technique may be off. Provided, the lines of the character and objects are perfect. Nothing seems out of proportion, nor misused in any way. Even the curves of her eyebrows do well to show just what she is thinking and planning on. However, as stated before, the shading techniques in this work are near nonexistent. For most of the work, it escapes the eye with ease, but all it takes is closer inspection to see the missing detail.

Impact does well to impress any watcher, but not the umpteenth degree as other works have already done. Provided, this work wasn't focused on as much as other pictures have been, there is still something missing to give a watcher or deviant lurker a true sense of shock and awe. Don't be mistaken, the flawless form and apparel design will awe just about anyone, but shock... that's up in the wind.

As a whole, Corrina is another fine work of art by =arvalis and worth a fav by any viewer. It may not be the best in the gallery, but it sure does deserve a spot in it.

Congratulations to =arvalis, you've done it again!

Its a pleasure to browse your gallery. Its a bit pity that the OCs dont have body shades but i can think how much time it may cost. The secont thing specialy about this picture the end of the hammer handle look disturbing i would change it from my point its like an small eyesore but thats my personal oppinion.

I love the brightness of her under-dress. Even the reds on Scarlet are rather dark, so this makes the green a nice contrast not only to the rest of Corrina's outfit, but to the rest of the cast as well.

Again not sure if I commented before, but another excellent design. I love the bright colors. :)

I love clean character designs like this! She looks like she would be more sassy than bubbly and optimistic, though.

All the green makes me think Celtic Warrior lady. I like that she has a bit of attitude both in her body language and face, it adds something extra.

Yeah im trying to have an over arching color scheme to each of my main characters. Arvalis is white, corrina is green, scarlet is red, javelin is sonic grape, arcus is blue, and spektre is gold/brown.
