EDIT:Tweaked a few areas as per critique
Well this was a long time coming. I had a design for a "godvalis" many years ago, but it never made it past a sketch phase. Really the only thing i recall from that design was glowing red hair and no shirt. This was done as concept art for my anatomy final.
For this design i wanted to pull a lot of power into the character. It was extremely challenging trying to get the translucent skin look i had in my head without making him become too much like a monster. I made his armor kinda transform and bend to become more open. I wanted to draw phoenix imagery into the design, the skirt thing and armor becoming feather shapes. When designing the god scythe, i pulled from these two original scythe designs: [link] [link] I wanted it to look very out of this world, the blade also bleeds inky black smoke.
Anyways guys i hope you like it, and i hope his scythe is big enough for you this time.

Well the inhuman other world look was a success and the Phoenix part of the characters appearance was nicely done with the feather shape of the armor pieces, though the luminous lines while adding to the over all look seem to be, well how to put this... lacking?.. as if they could do a better job but appear to be missing something.Well I can't put my finger on it.
